Great Lakes Youth Choirs
Great Lakes Youth Choirs offers a well-established and well-respected music education, and performance program for young singers ages 5th to 12th grad. The Great Lakes Youth choirs has 3-choruses offering the appropriate level of music repertoire, theory, and learning experience for singers.
Treble Choir, Ages 5-5th Grade
Singers develop foundational singing skills through age-appropriate choral repertoire and engaging activities. Children will build singing technique that incorporates head voice singing, breathing fundamentals and listening skills as well as musicianship elements of solfege, ear training, music literacy and ensemble skills.
Chorister Choir, 6th-8th Grade COMING SOON
Choristers will work to develop their voices with special attention to the changing voice. Singers will build musical literacy skills for singing up to four parts. The enjoyment of singing while striving for excellence is the focus of this choir. Any boy or girl who enjoys singing and is willing to work toward excellence has a place with us no matter where they are in vocal development.
Youth Choir, 9th-12th Grade
Members of this choir will focus on advanced techniques in harmony, expression and listening, and offers an introduction to a variety of repertoire representing different genres and periods. This ensemble will have opportunities to perform collaborative throughout the community.
